Anyone can take pictures, however it takes an artist to capture the true essence of the subject. Portrait photography of dogs, cats, and other animals are especially challenging, and takes a special type of photographer. Since opening her studio in 1985, Master photographer Kathi Lamm has combined her special rapport and understanding of animals with personal artistry to create memorable portraits of families and their pets.
Working from her studio in Wilsonville Oregon, she serves the Portland area including Tigard, Hillsboro, and Beaverton; as well as Vancouver Washington.

Her skill has won her numerous state and national photographic awards, including being selected 4 times to display in the elite photographic display at EPCOT Center in Orlando, Florida. She is a member of several professional organizations including the Professional Photographers of America and holds the prestigious Master Photographer Degree from them. In addition to her portraits commissioned by residents in Oregon and Washington, her work also frequently appears in books, magazines, cards, calendars and advertisements.

I truly believe that we share a special bond with the animals in our world if we quiet our minds and truly open up to what they are communicating to us. My goal is to connect with and bring out the emotion in each animal’s eyes. I don’t want anyone to leave my studio with just a record of their pet but to create an image that truly speaks to their heart."
